Pet & Pamper's shelter has its own veterinarian to care for new arrivals in order for them to be in the proper condition to be adopted. Our veterinarian examines the animals' vital signs as well as the most common infections and illnesses. Some of these include tape worms, ear/eye infections, fleas, etc.
If an animals has not been neutered or has not received basic vaccines, then this is done at our shelter. This improves the health and overall wellbeing of the animal.
Many animals who check in and have been mistreated or malnourished and need extra rehabilitation before they can be put for adoption. it is important for animals to be able to socialize appropriately with other animals as well as with people to improve behaviour and avoid aggressiveness. The rehabilitation helps to do just this and allows owners to be worry-free of their animals being around other animals and people.
