A non-profit rescue shelter is also a part of Pet & Pamper, located in the West of the building. Here, many stray, lost, injured or unwanted animals are brought where they can be cared for and rehabilitated with the help of our veterinarian so they may be adopted and become a new addition to a loving and caring family.
When animals are brought to us, our veterinarian is the first to examine them to ensure the animal is in good health. If this is not the case, we immediately begin caring for the animal immediately; medication, surgery, etc. Once we feel confident the animal is well, we conduct a "temperament test" in order to distinguish the animal's behavioural type. This is important to us at the shelter because it allows us to place the right pet in the right home, matching them with families.
Once we have made the perfect match and reviewed the backgrounds of the potential adoptive family and the paper work is filed, the adoptive family is free to bring home their new pet.
Many animals are brought to us on a daily basis, comprising mostly of dogs and cats. As you may know, many shelters do not always accept animals, especially cats, due to over population. Here at Pet & Pamper's Shelter, we have a large amount of space for animals so that no animal will be denied. Our shelter is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Thousands of animals have been adopted through our animal adoption agency over the passed five years, which is something we at Pet & Pamper are very proud of.
